The club is filled with excitement for all of the upcoming events! Since restarting, we’ve played a number of friendly games where we chose to use the player rotation format instead of fielding our best 11 like we usually do for competition games. We decided on this approach because it’ll give everyone a chance to groove into some level of form after being on such a long break. We’re proud to say that over the last few weeks of games we were able to get about 30 of our players out on the field to refine their cricket form and fitness.
Two weeks ago we played a game against a local team that was composed of players from various teams playing together. We won by 30+ runs! Last week we had an intrasquad game where our Palm Beach Titans players played against each other. There was an excellent turnout of players and we were able to have two full teams which made for a very exciting game. Team 1, which was led by Praveen, scored 175 runs, and Team 2, led by former skipper Paul was trailing closely behind. For a fireworks worthy ending, Team 2 took the win on the last ball!
We have an upcoming game on Saturday, October 10th where Titans 2 will take on South India. Everyone has been waiting to see the Titans 1 team in action and they’ll be assembled at full strength with our most impressive player for the start of the Gold Coast Cricket League (GCCL) on Sunday, October 11th. The competition will be held at Central Broward Regional Park (the beautiful grounds outside of Broward Stadium). We promise it’ll be an exciting game so we’re encouraging you all to stop by!
