We recently concluded our captaincy elections. One of our former Skippers, Paul Ramkissoon, will lead our team as our captain while Bharat and Atif will support him as vice captains. Previously, Paul played the role of our team captain for several successful years and now he has been asked to come back to captain for one more season. This season is being viewed as a “leadership bridge” season as we look to transition to a new leadership group and we couldn’t think of a better person to prepare the team for the future.
The vibe in the team is very good with this announcement...so much so that our team already came up with a nickname that describes just how much our opposition should be worried about this new season of games. W.I.P (West Indian, Indian, Pakistani) though it is a little comedic, it shows not only the diversity in our leadership team, but that we’ll also be cracking the whip (WIP) on the opposition.
Our mission has always been to promote the game of cricket in the USA by engaging players of all backgrounds and we take pride in the fact that our club is unique in the way that we are multicultural. Our team currently consists of Indians, Pakistanis, Jamaicans, Barbadians, Trinidadians, Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis, Guyanese and we even have an Englishman for good measure. In the past we have also had the opportunity to boast Australian and South African members...with only the Kiwis never being represented in our ranks to date. It’s not everyday you come across a team with such an array of different cultures all playing in unisom. In fact most teams around the league consist of members that are generally from one nation, in some cases even from the same city/ village. We pride ourselves on the fact that here...it is your cricket skill and acumen that matters and that means any cricketer can join our team and feel welcome!
To kick off the new season, new uniforms are under production. You can see below for a preview of what they will look like. Look out for our team members rocking these throughout the 2020 season!

This year (2020) also marks 45 years of our club’s existence and to honor this impressive milestone, we had a very special logo designed. The three stars signify the three championships we’ve won in 2007, 2008 and 2011. Also, our club motto Amat Victoria Curam stands for “Victory Loves Preparation”.
